Full Coverage Porcelain Crowns
Crowns are comprehensive restorations that are used to preserve teeth that are too damaged to repair with a filling. With a crown, we can cover the entire surface of the tooth above the gums. This allows the tooth to continue functioning normally. It also enables us to restore the appearance of the tooth, and in effect, your entire smile.
Custom Dental Crowns
Each one of our crowns is customized in size, shape and color. You may need a crown if your tooth:
- Is Cracked
- Has a Large Cavity
- Was Treated with a Root Canal
- Has an Old, Aging Filling
Our crowns require two visits in our office to complete. During the first appointment, we will prep the tooth being crowned and take a digital impression using our iTero machine. Then, a temporary crown will be placed over the tooth to protect it.
Within the next two weeks, your permanent porcelain crown will be ready. We will remove the temporary crown and then bond the permanent one into place.
Not only are crowns used to repair teeth, they are also used in conjunction with dental implants to replace missing ones. Learn more about our implant options here.
Don’t put your crown off until it is too late. If your tooth continues to decay or break down, there may not be enough tooth enamel left to repair. Then the tooth would need to be extracted. Schedule a complimentary consultation to find out more. Call us today!
